A controlled operational flow
WorldGuard analyses live video from the drone’s camera and can also process recorded footage and still images.
This operational flow applies to all configurations.
Aerial capture
During a live mission, the drone camera captures the authorised operating area and sends the video stream to the onboard edge device for analysis.
On-board edge analysis
AI models process the visual data directly on board; only relevant detections are sent to the cloud.
Structured event record
Relevant detections are transmitted with their timestamp, duration, severity, location and supporting frames.
Operator review
The structured event appears in the live interface, allowing the operator to assess the situation and choose the next action.
Unified operational picture
Active events, unit positions and mission status are consolidated on a single live map for coordinated situational awareness.
AI copilot
The copilot summarises incidents, retrieves relevant frames and mission context, answers operational questions, helps select an object or region of interest, and prepares tracking commands or alert messages for operator approval.
Mission continuity
At the operator’s direction, the system can keep the relevant object or region of interest in view for the authorised duration of the mission, within the approved area and operational limits.
Response and audit trail
The action selected by the operator is carried out through the authorised workflow, while decisions, commands and status changes are recorded in the mission log.
Post-mission review
Authorised users can review recorded events, operator decisions and mission logs for reporting and analysis, according to the access, retention and audit policies of the deployed edition.
Relevant frames are ranked by image clarity, subject size, frontality and detection confidence. The best available frame is selected as the representative image, while supporting frames may be retained with the event.
Scalable architecture
- WorldGuard Core — supports defined local operations and individual missions.
- WorldGuard Public Safety — extends the same operational flow to coordinated multi-drone, multi-team and command-centre deployments.Restricted Biometric Module — adds separately authorised biometric capabilities without changing the underlying operational workflow.

A system designed for applicable legal requirements.
- Image analysis
- Event generation and mission processing
- The relevant output of image analysis
- The required metadata and logs
GDPR by design
- Image storage is limited to relevant event frames and documented purposes
- Metadata and logs needed for security, audit and error investigation may be retained separately
- Access, retention and deletion are controlled and documented
Built around AI Act principles
- Human oversight — the operator reviews detections and decides what is sent as an alert to the competent authority
- Event logging and traceability for each detection and decision
- Documented model behaviour and clear limits; classification depends on the activated modules and the deployer’s procedures
Drone operation remains subject to the applicable aviation rules — UAS category, risk assessment, geographical zones, authorisations — and the approved mission limits.
One operational interface
The images alongside are prototype captures: the WorldGuard Core edition and the WorldGuard Public Safety edition with the Restricted Biometric Module.
Protected by design
Designed to support compliance.
The core methods behind the system are the subject of a pending patent application. Qualified partners can learn more under NDA.
